Wooooo Hooooooo....30 days from today and I am off to Turkey where I will start my adventure in the city that straddles 2 continents.
Istanbul spans Europe and Asia, a city of over 15 million! I can't wait to experience the sights and sounds of this metropolitan city. And while I am there it will be Ramadan. This will be really interesting...from what I am told it will be a festive time, with much of the Sultanahmet area decorated with little twinkle lights! I will have my camera at the ready! I can't pass up a good photo opportunity!
Then there is the rest of the country to see. I will only be scratching the surface on this 2 and a half week trip...mainly staying in western Turkey, but want to enjoy it all! And I'm hoping to get to see some of the landscape from the basket of a hot air balloon...let's hope the weather cooperates the day we take flight!
