Feverishly Updating My Bologna & Roma Restaurant List!

Just when I thought my Bologna and Roma research was complete and I'd sent the "sacred list" to my Kindle, mom sends me a slue of really good restaurant information!

With one final (I promised myself!) big effort last night, it took just a couple hours to add the information and map coordinates (ok, I did some basic internet searches on the restaurants too!) to the "list".  Now the final list that will be coming with me is a whopping 35 pages!  I know, I know, I could never go to all the places I have listed...but at least I have the convenience I pulling out "the list" when I need a restaurant and I will have my choice of any place I've researched.

Fortunately I have stepped even further into the 21st Century and now with my Kindle, instead of taking reams of paper with me, I just email the document to my Kindle and within seconds...Viola...the list is on my Kindle!  No more lugging around massive amounts of paper!

Just when I thought...

all my plans for Rome where in order, along comes Vino Roma (www.vinoroma.com).

This little gem of a find is all thanks to mom.  While perusing the 101 Cookbooks blog mom found an article that listed wine tastings at Vino Roma.

The only logical thing to do was check out the website and I really liked what I saw.  It's a sommelier in Rome who does Italian wine tastings in a 5th floor palazzo overlooking Rome.  How could I not take advantage of this?

I booked a wine tasting for one of the evenings we'll be in Rome and it sounds like it will be lots of fun and informative!

Italy plans in place

Wow!  In 10 days I will be Italy bound!  I can't wait!  I've finished the last minute reservations and bookings and I can't wait to set foot in Bologna, or as they say in Italy..."La Grassa".

Yes, Bologna is known as "The Fat" and for good reason...it's the "bread basket" of Italy after all!  I'm looking forward to exploring this Italian city that is not on the first timers to Italy tourist track.  All the fantastic food will be a major component of this trip.

Then it's a return to Roma...an Italian city I hold close to my heart...I really do think I was Italian in another life!  The last thing I have to check into is a possible wine tasting event in Rome, but otherwise the general itinerary is in place!
