Can Hardly Contain Myself...

Often, when the time for a big trip rolls around, I find myself saying the week before I leave..."I can't wait to go, hurry-up departure day and get here!"

Now, I know I shouldn't wish my life away and I know that as much as I'm wishing time to speed ahead this week, the actual time on vacation will move at the speed of light and I will want to savor every moment.

So, as my departure day nears I am trying hard to take deep cleansing breaths and relax. I have a relatively small "to do" list this week with the biggest "to do" being to pack, but honestly, I've got everything coordinated and realistically I could probably pack the day before I leave. BUT, being the anal retentive planner that I am, I will have my bags packed on Sunday night, ready and waiting for next Thursday to roll around!

The packing has begun...

In a little over a week I will be Europe-bound, barring any volcanic eruptions in the flight path that is!

All the reservations have been confirmed, the guestroom bed is full of clothes, guidebooks, electronic gadgets and I am ready for this trip to begin.  I am so looking forward to exploring the Basque Country and returning to Paris!
