Now we're picking up steam! 5 weeks from today I will be in the skies over the Atlantic "winging" my way to Istanbul! And I'm coping much better with my work load then a few weeks ago! :)
My attitude is to just get done what I can and leave the rest for someone at the office or it will be there when I get back, that's more likely then someone picking up the ball and running with it!
Enough about work...I've got my trip checklist started and most everything is ticked off. The only things left to do are reconfirming reservations, which I don't need to do for a few more weeks, and a few other "administrative tasks" and then of course there is the packing. I've developed a packing list that I use for all my trips and then update it for each specific trip, so I just have to print it and start packing.
My packing goal is to pack lighter then last year, which I think is very "doable" since the trip is a week less and as I recall from last year even though I wore everything I brought with me, I can still downsize some things! One of the hardest things to eliminate though are my guidebooks. I only have 2 but I will also have my "home-made" travel information, which will be much shorter then last years, but none the less it still takes up space, but the darn guidebooks tend to be so heavy, which then leaves my shoulders "screaming" at night! :)
Here's to anticipating a smooth month leading up to my departure! Can't wait to see Turkey!
