Today was a monumental day...I celebrated the BIG 4-0. I know, I know, it's only a number! The celebration today was low-key, went to a nice dinner with mom and CathyLee. In a week and a half Ken and Lisa will be here from Tucson to help celebrate and the plan is to enjoy the weekend with them and get together for dinner with a bunch of friends...so my oldest and dearest friends will finally meet all my friends here.
The day started with a birthday balloon and a pound of Italian Roast Starbucks coffee from my boss. Then I went to lunch with mom and Eddye and raised our plastic Starbucks cups to toast the 40 years I've been on this planet.
Dinner was at BoneFish which I thoroughly enjoyed and was put over the top with the macadamia nut brownie sundae, but hey, it's my birthday and I can eat what I want...well I will be at the gym tomorrow working off that brownie, but I did enjoy it tonight!
I've been remiss lately about posting my Rome trip report. I will get on that soon. I started drafting it last night, so once I get it going I will post several installments along with trip photos.
