Well, not completely the Rome itinerary is still fairly loose, but I did make several, OK four, restaurant reservations. Thanks has to go to the the staff at the Albergo del Senato who made 3 of the 4 dinner reservations for me. For the last of the four reservations, I googled the name of the restaurant and was pleasantly surprised to find they took reservations via email. One night, in my fractured Italian and with help from Google Translate, I dashed off an email requesting a reservation. When I checked my email in-box the next morning..viola...there was the confirmation from the restaurant. Yay!
I'm happy to say the two food/restaurant apps I bought for my phone have already come in handy because all four of the restaurants I have reservations with I found on those apps! Thanks Elizabeth Minchilli & Katie Parla!
And speaking of Elizabeth Minchilli, the last booking I made for this trip is an olives & olive oil workshop. Mom and I decided to treat ourselves to this 2 hour workshop with one of our favorite Rome bloggers. We're both really looking forward to meeting Elizabeth and learning about olive oil.
