I know, I know, the last thing I really needed for my upcoming South East Asia trip was a new carry-on bag. I'm not talking about a "big" 21 inch rollie, I'm talking about a small, maybe 15 inch rollie.
And, why do I need this? Well, I've decide (GASP!) to check my 21 inch rollie bag for this trip. Even though I have 2 connecting flights, I will have (barring unforeseen mishaps) ample time during those connections, 4 hours and 2 hours respectively for my bags to "catch up" with me! So, my theory is that my bags will make it to Vietnam with me. With this in mind, I thought that I could take my shoulder carry-on, but as I was thinking about this, it occurred to me how nice it is to just roll my bag through the airport, so I succumbed and purchased a small rollie tote that when I do have my larger rollie, I can slide the small rollie tote over the handles and be cruising through the airport easily.
In an effort to stay some-what matched, I opted for the black Eagle Creek 15 inch rolling tote. I know, everyone has black, but my other luggage is a blue-green with black trim and I figured if I wasn't able to be matchy-matchy, at lest the black would go with everything!
The bag arrived within 2 days of placing the order (gotta love Amazon!) and I was thrilled to see that the weight listed on the tag was true to what the website said...just slightly over 5 pounds...a definite in my travel "book" is to always try and buy the lightest luggage I can find, but still have all the options I want in a bag and this Eagle Creek bag fits the bill perfectly. I guess you can say I'm just a little obsessed with luggage lately.
Now it's off to tick the next item on my "must buy for trip" list...insect repellent that is super strong, because if there is a bug wherever I will be in South East Asia, it will find me!

Hey Beth!
I know I owe you a photo of those Ferragamos! :-) Not sure how soon I'll get to it. Definitely will wear them next time I see you!
