Now that I finished my Seattle trip report and there is only 3 weeks until my Asia trip, I can focus on doing Asia research! FINALLY!
I am feeling completely unprepared for this Asia trip, good thing Rosemary has done all the big logistical planning. I got the trip itinerary a few days ago and it will be a fast-paced trip....I may even need a vacation from my vacation when I get home!
Thank God for a Fodorite friend who willingly shared her Vietnam & Thailand trip notes with me, without them I'd be lost, now I need to crack them open again and highlight the places that I really want to see when we have free time on the tour.
Fortunately for me, most meals are included with the tour, so I won't need a ton of recommendations, but I know me, and if I don't have a solid lead on a few good restaurants I get "antsy"!
On the bright side, I did stumble upon a great line of handbags made in Vietnam with a flagship store in Hanoi. Ipa-nima bags...I checked out their website and the bags look fantastic...of course, just what I need, more handbags! It's my favorite indulgence!

I feel as unprepared as you do! Starting to kick in with just 3 weeks to go! I agree...the itinerary looks busy...not much down-time for us to fill in.

When I read the full itinerary I thought..."Wow, we are going to really be moving"! :-)
I started pulling together some of my research this weekend. I may end up just putting everything I have on my Kindle and read as we go along! :-)
