It's not long now until I'm jetting off again and this time I will be Seattle-bound. Like last January, I'm heading to the Pacific Northwest for a long weekend to soak up all Seattle has to offer and spend a day in Edmonds with some of my favorite travel people, Rick Steves and his guides!
I was excited months ago when I booked a room at the Kimpton Vintage Park Hotel because I've been eager to have a Kimpton "experience", but the bargain hunter in me took over and I was able to book a "Friends and Family" rate at the Seattle Crowne Plaza for $96 a night, which is about a $50 savings over the Vintage Park.
I'm going to need that savings since I extended the rental car from one day to 2 and a half days so we can explore the Chateau St. Michele Winery in Woodinville and then I figured we might as well keep the rental car and use it to get to the airport for our very early Monday morning departure.
The Seattle plans are "locked and loaded" and I'm really looking forward to this return visit to a city that is quickly becoming one of my favorites!
