I'm Learning Italian!!!

Several weeks ago on the Fodor's website message boards I came across a recommendation for an Italian language learning program. I decided to check it out since I will be in Rome at Christmas this year and wanted to be able to communicate, even if it's just in basic sentences.

I cruised over to the itunes website and found all 100 podcasts! And the icing on the cake is that all the podcasts are free! I downloaded them all to my ipod and over the last 3 weeks I've been learning a little Italian everyday!

What's nice about these podcasts is that they are between 3 and 5 minutes long. So it's not an hours worth of learning everyday! And each podcast builds on the last one.

If you have a need to learn Italian I highly recommend My Daily Phrase Italian at this website:

Check it out, you could be speaking Italian before you know it!

Ciao!

Hi Marcy,
I'm glad that you found out about something so cool on our message boards. I hope you write a trip report up when you return in December!

Hi Katie!

Forgive my slowness..but I didn't see your comment on my blog until today. I don't check my blog everyday and for some reason I didn't get an email notification you had posted! Hopefully you will see this reply back.

I have to tell you I am a complete Fodor-aholic! My "handle" is LowCountryIslander there and I mostly post on the Europe board but have been lurking in the lounge, the smart tips section and the US board when I have a domestic trip planned. I've posted a few trip reports (Central Europe 2006, Turkey 2007 and Rome at Christmas 2007 reports).

I just wanted to let you know I think you are doing a great job on the Fodors forums and I find the other posters there extremely knowledgable and often times hilarious! (I'm sure you can think of a few I have in mind!)

Thanks for taking the time to read my blog...by the way, how did you find it?
