"Places to See List"

Well, now that I've FINALLY finished the "places I've been to" list, it's time to start my ever-increasing "places to see" list. Every time I hear about a great place a friend has been I add that to my list and fortunately I have some friends who have been to great places...and you know who you are! :) Or, if I've read a book, newspaper or magazine article about an interesting place that will typically get added to my list too. And since I subscribe to 2 travel magazines I seem to always find new places that spark my interest.

So I should probably start my list off with the places I will be going to this year and follow-up with my future destinations to been seen!

Planned for September 2006:
Prague, Czech Republic
Krakow, Poland
Budapest, Hungary
Eger, Hungary
Plitivice National Park, Croatia
The Island of Rab, Croatia
Bled, Slovenia
Hvar, Croatia (island off the Croatia coast between Split and Dubrovnik)
Dubrovnik, Croatia
Montenegro (a day trip while in Dubrovnik)

Future Destinations (in no particular order):
Hawaii (prefer an "active" vacation for this...hike, bike, kayak, etc...)
Scandinavian countries (Finland, Sweden, Norway & Denmark)
Greece
Turkey
Egypt
Russia
Mainland China
Japan
Thailand
India
Australia (I know, I've been there, but I didn't get to see all that I want too!)
New Zealand (same comment as Australia)
Alaska
Victoria, British Columbia, Canada
Iceland
Ireland (yup, again!!!)
South of France (didn't get there on previous visits to France)
New Mexico (Santa Fe)
Pacific Northwest (specifically Seattle, Washington and San Juan Islands and Portland, Oregon)
Idaho (to visit Katrina!)
