Happy New Year!

Welcome 2006!

It was a quiet New Year's Eve for me this year, and sometimes I just prefer it that way. I was able to ring in the new year in the comfort of my own home and didn't have to battle any crowded bars or parties! :)

So some of my planned travels for 2006 have changed. I decided not to take my trip to Seattle that was planned for January. There were a couple reasons, my friend, Katrina who I was going to meet up with there to celebrate our birthdays wasn't able to make it. And although I would have loved to go to the Europe Through the Back Door tour reunion it just wouldn't be the same without Katrina. Plus work is going to be busy during January, so it's probably best that I put Seattle on the back burner. And afterall, Seattle in January probably isn't the best from a weather perspective!

In light of the cancelled Seattle trip I've been putting some time and energy into researching flight and accommadation options for my European trip in September. I know, September seems like a long time away, but I like to get my "ducks in a row" well in advance!

Coordinating flight to get to Prague and then leave from Dubrovnik is proving to be a bit difficult but I think I have found a way by using London, Gatwick as a roundtrip destination from the US and then getting a low fare from Gatwick to Prague and then back to Gatwick from Dubrovnik. I am sure as time progresses and I determine the "perfect itinerary" it will be reflected here in my blog!

Well, it's a "short and sweet" post tonight!

Here's to a happy and healthy and travel-filled 2006!
